Welcome to Christ Church Cathedral!

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Whether you are a newcomer to the Eau Claire area or simply looking for a new church home, we at Christ Church Cathedral extend a cordial invitation to you to join us for worship and fellowship.
Christ Church Cathedral is the "spiritual center" of the Episcopal Diocese of Eau Claire (Episcopal Church, USA). We have been actively engaged in ministry in the Eau Claire area since 1858.
As Episcopalians at Christ Church Cathedral, we strive to live our lives with Christ as the center of all we do. We are a church that is rooted in ancient Christian practice, but is culturally relevant. We are diverse yet unified. We are part of the larger worldwide Anglican Communion which has its roots in the Church of England. With beliefs grounded in Scripture, Tradition, and Reason, we engage thoughtful debate about what and who God is calling us to be as followers of Jesus Christ.
We are a sacramental and worship oriented church in which the focus of our common life together is the Altar. There we celebrate the Eucharist (Holy Communion) on Saturday at 6:00 pm in the chapel, Sunday at 9:00 am in the cathedral, and on Wednesdays and major Holy Days at 12:15 pm in the chapel. All persons who have been baptized with water in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are invited to join us at the Lord's Table. You may also join us for Morning Prayer in the chapel Monday through Friday at 8:30 am.

MEMBERSHIP
Frequently people ask what it takes to be a member of the Episcopal Church in general and of Christ Church Cathedral in particular.
Membership in the Christian Faith is for those who have turned to Jesus Christ as Savior; baptism by water in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit is the outward sign. One is baptized into the Christian Faith, not the Episcopal Church, however persons baptized in the Episcopal Church are also presumed to be Episcopalians.
A member of the Episcopal Church is anyone whose baptism is recorded in the Parish Register and to works, prays, and gives for the spread of Christ's kingdom through this parish church.
