WELCOME FROM THE DEAN

Welcome to Christ Church
Cathedral!
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ! On behalf of the Wardens, Vestry, and members of Christ Church Cathedral
I would like to welcome you to our web site.
Whether you are a newcomer to the Eau Claire
area or simply looking for a new church home, we at Christ Church Cathedral
extend a cordial invitation to you to join us for worship and fellowship.
Christ Church Cathedral is the "spiritual
center" of the Episcopal Diocese of Eau Claire (Episcopal Church, USA). It
is where the diocesan bishop, The Rt. Rev'd Keith Whitmore, 5th Bishop of Eau
Claire, resides. We have been actively engaged in ministry in the Eau
Claire area since 1858.
As Episcopalians at Christ Church Cathedral
we strive to live our lives with Christ as the center of all we do. We are
a church that is rooted in ancient Christian practice, but is culturally
relevant. We are diverse yet unified. We are part of the larger worldwide
Anglican Communion which has its roots in the Church of England. With
beliefs grounded in Scripture, Tradition, and Reason, we engage thoughtful
debate about what and who God is calling us to be as followers of Jesus Christ.
We are a sacramental and worship-oriented
church in which the focus of our common life together is the Altar. There
we celebrate the Eucharist (Holy Communion) on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in the
chapel, Sunday at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. in the cathedral, and on Wednesdays
and major Holy Days at 12:15 p.m. in the chapel. All persons who have been
baptized with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are
invited to join us at the Lord's Table. You may also join us for Morning
Prayer in the chapel Monday through Friday at 8:30 a.m.
If you have questions about The Episcopal
Church, Christ Church Cathedral, or about how you can become part of the
cathedral faith community please feel free to contact me via e-mail at

May you have a blessed day!
In Christ,
Fr. Bob Rademaker, Dean
